Classic Movie Bucket List

If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a million times. Someone drops a line from a movie, waiting expectantly for me to laugh. I look at them quizzically, they give me the name of the movie, and I say, “I’ve never seen that before.”

Their response every time? “YOU’VE NEVER SEEN THAT??!!”

My apologies for my lack of common pop culture education. On the other hand, I’m sure I could drop lines from several books that would garner the same quizzical reaction from others … although when I say “YOU’VE NEVER READ THAT??!” – it rarely seems to have the same effect.

Not to meet anyone’s expectations, but rather to fulfill a curiosity that exists about these oh-so-well-known titles, I have formed a not-quite-extensive “Well-Known Movie Bucket List.” A few I threw in there just to remind myself that I really want to watch them, be they well-known or not. I’m sure that there are many you could suggest I add to the list – and please feel free to – but this is merely a starting point of movies that I need to see before I die [but sorry, I do not consider the Twilight movies to be must-sees. On the contrary]. If there’s a favorite of yours on here, let me know, and we can watch it together … all the better! 🙂 [and to those of you who already have spots claimed on this list, let’s start this summer!]

  1. You haven't seen Monsters, Inc.?!? It's SO funny. PLEASE tell me you have seen Up. =) How about Chicken Run? If not, those are must-sees…on my list, anyway. 😉 Oh and one of my favorite drama/romances is Lake House.

If it makes you feel better, I've seen a very small handful of the movies on your list. 🙂

  2. I've totally seen UP … I own it and love it! I haven't seen Chicken Run yet … and I'm pretty sure I've seen Lake House, I'm just not sure.

Yay! At least I'm not the only one … 😀
