Pandora's Box

A Word Left Unspoken

A word left unspoken is the gasp of shock and unbelief.

A word left unspoken whispers of the tear in the corner of the eye.

A word left unspoken cramps with fear and anguish.

A word left unspoken denies reality and embraces self-preservation.

A word left unspoken keeps the surface peace but stirs the underlying tension.

A word left unspoken glides across the room and wraps its tendrils of poisonous acceptance around our hearts.

A word left unspoken masquerades as happiness and perfection.

A word left unspoken clamors with anxiety and discontent.

A word left unspoken tears apart any hope of reconciliation.

A word left unspoken nurses a festering wound.

A word left unspoken is a wrong easily left ignored.

A word left unspoken burns with alarming fire and freezes with icy scorn.

A word left unspoken closes doors of love and hope.

A word left unspoken weakens a character with cowardice.

A word left unspoken is that one last secret you can’t bear to verbalize for the enormity of its meaning.

A word left unspoken leaves lovers parted, friends distanced, parents & children bitter, and peace with God severed.

A word left unspoken tells a story screaming to be told out loud – a story of avoidance – a story that’s exactly opposite of what your heart desires, but the one that’s somehow the easier choice to live with.

Speak – and find your heart set free.
