Day 7 – Praying for Cru Staff

Anyone who’s ever been involved in ministry knows that it brings the greatest amount of rewards – and the greatest amounts of sacrifice. When you make this ministry your full-time job, it can sometimes take an even bigger toll. Because when has pouring your life into another ever been a small task? And yet these staff members that God has given to Eastern so faithfully give of themselves, building us up in Christ, loving us, believing in us, and teaching us.

How did we ever get so blessed to get a team like this? I am so incredibly thankful for all of them and all that I have learned from them this year.

To all of you, I say thank you. Thank you for living out the call God has placed in your lives, and please know that He will reward you greatly for all that you’re doing here on the Eastern campus. God is using you in huge ways to make a difference that has never been felt like this before.

Like Hebrews 13:7 & 17 say,
“Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.”

Prayer Postures for Today:
– Pray that our staff members would be “strengthened with power through His Spirit in their inner beings.”
– Pray for unity and wisdom in their vision for the future here at Eastern.
– Pray for their souls to be refreshed and encouraged by what God is doing here.
– Pray that their ministry would continue to grow and be effective.

Let their labor of love not go unnoticed or unappreciated. May we take the time to thank them and share with them how they have helped us. And may God greatly bless them for all that they do.

Father, thank You for giving us godly men and women to lead us and be examples for us. Thank You that they invest so much of their lives into ours, and may they be richly rewarded for that. May they walk forth with your Spirit anointing them, and may they continue to be used by You to touch this campus.
