Day 23 – What Next Year Holds

“The LORD is good to those whose hope is in Him, to the one who seeks Him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” (Lamentations 3:25-26)

We still have the summer, I know, but as this school year ends, it’s only natural to think about next school year and all that it holds in store for us. Are you ready for it? Are you ready to serve Jesus however He calls you to and go on a wild, adventurous ride of faith with Him?

Prayer Postures for Today:
– Pray for wisdom for the decisions that have to be made next year in regards to school, living choices, jobs, ministry
– Pray for opportunities to invest in other people’s lives and to grow relationships
– Pray for openness to whatever God might have You do next year, even if it’s not what you originally had in mind.

Father, when I think about next year, I get excited about what You will do – especially considering all that You have done this past year. You never fail to lead your children in the paths they should go, and so – even though I know that next year holds uncertainty and many big decisions – I place it in Your hands and choose to trust You once again for guidance. I pray that I would maximize my time at Eastern next year, that I would be able to invest in other people’s lives for the Kingdom, and that I would be faithful and committed to where you call me to work, serve, and prepare for my future career. I do not pretend to know the future, Lord, and it would be presumptuous of me to try and plan it all out. I know that You have far better things in mind for me than I could come up with on my own. So I pray that You would still my anxious heart, open my eyes up wide, and help me to prepare with wisdom for the year ahead of me. In Your name I pray, Amen.
