Just Some Nostalgia for You Tonight

Tonight I was thinking of the song one of my dear friends walked down the aisle to at her wedding – which then brought to mind some other friends’ wedding songs, which all brought me great joy [my friends really do have the best taste].

So I thought I’d share them with you, along with some sweet quotes from Pinterest that have made me smile recently. And that’s the only goal of this post tonight – just to make you smile. Although if you’re not in a great place emotionally, maybe don’t read/listen to this one as I don’t want to add to your discontent.

First of all, there’s the song that Kimi walked down the aisle to – Carol Ann by Michael W. Smith. Every time I hear this one on my Pandora radio station, I smile, thinking of what fun it was to be in her wedding.

And then there was Jenna’s wedding aisle song – Falling in Love at a Coffee Shop by Landon Pigg. I had introduced it to her and Karli when they had come for a visit, and I had no idea she picked it for her wedding until the rehearsal when it started playing and tears immediately sprang to my eyes. Such a beautiful song.

One of my all-time favorite quotes about love.

Maggie walked down the aisle to the theme song from Anne of Green Gables – and while I will always love the books more, this song is so sweet and captures the essence of my favorite love story so well.

And then my dearest Kelsey walked down the aisle to Singing Montage from Rigoletto, which also made me cry because we had planned that since we were girls of twelve and thirteen. And to see it finally come true was one of the most beautiful things.

And one last song: this version of A Million Dreams by The Piano Guys – I haven’t seen it yet, but it would make a beautiful wedding aisle song.

And with that, I bid you all a good night. Sweet dreams.
